Ndovu
Special Malt presented its first ever Ndovu Spotlight Studio event in
Dar es Salaam last night as part of its online Spotlight campaign. The
panel, which was moderated by Gloria Mangi featured two online
entrepreneurs, Andrew Mboma of Vinjari.co.tz and
Laura Lyabandi of MamasAndTotos.com. They revealed the stories of their
journeys to success so far, and offered insight into the realities of
owning start-up companies. They gave advice to the audience on topics
such as finance, customer service and resilience and determination in a
growing market in Tanzania. Spotlighters who previously took part in the
online campaign – Evans Bukuku, Kamanga Kapinga and Kemi Kalikawe –
were also in attendance, actively participating in the audience question
and answer session. What's more, the public tweeted in their questions
using the official #NdovuSpotlight hashtag, which were then asked on
stage by the moderator. The evening rounded off with networking, bites
and of course, cold Ndovus.
