Eppy,
born in Uganda, is an award winning artist who recorded his first
single in 1999 which got massive radio play and exposure. Between 1999
and 2006 Eppy successfully released music that blended reggae,
dancehall, and hip-hop. This unique style landed him nominations and
awards, the latest award he won being the ‘Pearl of Africa Music Awards’
in 2006.
In
2007 Eppy moved to Kenya where he has been recording, performing and
toured with local Kenyan artists like Abbas
Kubaf, Nemises and Asali
Msanii and Susanne Owiyo. His latest recording included local Hip Hop
star Octopizzo and Netherlands based band Chef Special.
Early
2013 Eppy moved back to Uganda where he has been recording new music; a
blend of his Ugandan roots mixed with the Kenyan experience.
‘I
want to be a source of change in societies as well as to further in my
production skills. Currently I am concentrating on hip hop and dance
hall fused with East African vibes of Benga and Bongo Flava’.
